Psychologiczne uwarunkowania otyłości u dzieci i młodzieży
Abstract
Narastający problem otyłości we współczesnym świecie dotyczy prawie wszystkich społeczeństw, zwłaszcza wysoko rozwiniętych, gdzie obserwuje się wzrost częstości występowania nadwagi u osób w każdym wieku. Wśród dzieci i młodzieży uważa się ją za najczęstsze zaburzenie w rozwoju, pociągające za sobą negatywne konsekwencje psychospołeczne. W Polsce nadmierna masa ciała występuje u 8,7% populacji dzieci w wieku 7-16 lat, a 3,4% z nich cierpi na otyłość. Odsetek osób z nadwagą zwiększa się wraz z wiekiem badanych, zwłaszcza w okresie pokwitania. Zaburzenie to znacząco częściej dotyka uczniów w mieście (9,4%) niż na wsi (7,1%). W mieście jest więcej otyłych chłopców, a na wsi dziewcząt.Copyright (c) 2017 HORIZONS OF EDUCATION
