W poszukiwaniu samego siebie. Od literatury do człowieka współczesnego
Abstract
The author of the article begin with presenting the way to search for oneself, chosen by a young man – the main character of Oscar Wilde’s The Master. The discussion is interwoven with issues concentrated on the meeting with the Other – as a meeting with the image of every You that a particular I meets. Then, the author focuses on the selected conclusions from research into the non-oriented student’s perception of a piece of work by an Irish writer. As a result, the author presents the secondary school students’ consideration of (1) man’s loneliness and its connection with searching for oneself and (2) the meaning of teenagers’ meeting with the Other (a literary character, a piece of work, an author or a teacher) in the course of a Polish language lesson.
