Rola wyższych uczelni katolickich z perspektywy pontyfikatu Jana Pawła II
Abstract
Pragnę wyrazić wdzięczność Jezuitom w Polsce za zaproszenie
mnie w ramach centralnych obchodów Jubileuszu związanego
z 450. rocznicą śmierci św. Ignacego oraz 500. rocznicą urodzin
św. Franciszka Ksawerego i bł. Piotra Fabera. Może dziwić kogoś,
dlaczego Jezuici polscy zaprosili właśnie mnie. Wydaje się, że
motywem jest to, iż jestem bardzo mocno związany z tym Zakonem,
zwłaszcza na poziomie akademickim, a w związku z tym
także bardzo serdecznymi kontaktami osobistymi. Odbyłem bowiem
studia na Wydziale Prawa Kanonicznego Papieskiego Uniwersytetu
Gregoriańskiego w Rzymie, który – jak podkreślił Jan Paweł
II – zrodził się „z apostolskiej gorliwości św. Ignacego Loyoli” .1
Na tym uniwersytecie zdobyłem kolejne stopnie naukowe, a następnie
przez ponad 25 lat byłem jego wykładowcą, pracując
jednocześnie w Najwyższym Trybunale Sygnatury Apostolskiej.
Jest to więc w pewnym stopniu „mój” uniwersytet,moja Alma Mater
