Depresja a Ja odzwierciedlone
Abstract
Wśród chłopców, w przeciwieństwie do dziewcząt, uzyskano wyniki potwierdzające hipotezę, zgodnie z którą osoby z wysokimi wynikami w skali depresji, w porównaniu z osobami z niskimi wynikami w skali depresji, charakteryzują się niższym Ja odzwierciedlonym.
The aim of the study was to analyse the relationship between depression and the reflected self (individual’s belief as to how they are perceived in the community). 272 participants (176 girls and 96 boys) aged 17-18 completed two questionnaires: Beck Depression Inventory and the questionnaire “How am I perceived by others?” (created specifically for this research). The results obtained among boys, unlike among girls, confirm the hypothesis according to which individuals with high scores on the depression scale, compared to the low scores on the depression scale, are distinguished by lower reflected self.
