Book review: Monika Maria Kowalczyk, The Concept of Culture as Presented by Anna-Teresa Tymieniecka. (2025). Ignatianum University Press
Abstract
Nakładem Wydawnictwa Naukowego Uniwersytetu Ignatianum ukazała się monografia Moniki Marii Kowalczyk zatytułowana Koncepcja kultury w ujęciu Anny-Teresy Tymie-nieckiej. Jest to głos dotyczący nie tylko dokonań światowej sławy filozof, lecz także podjęcie istotnych kwestii w filozofii współczesnej. Tymieniecka była założycielką Świa-towego Instytutu Fenomenologii (WPI) oraz serii wydawniczej „Analecta Husserliana” (zredagowała ponad 100 prac w tej serii, m.in. Osobę i czyn Karola Wojtyły). Seria pier-wotnie kontynuowała idee Edmunda Husserla, stała się jednak szeroko zakrojonym in-terdyscyplinarnym projektem, jak określała Tymieniecka, „fenomenologii życia”. Filozof była niezwykle zaangażowaną propagatorką fenomenologii w świecie, inspirowała powstanie towarzystw naukowych dedykowanych fenomenologii, jak the International Society for Phenomenology and Literature, Center for the Promotion of Cross-Cultural Understanding czy International Society for Phenomenology, Fine Arts, and Aesthetics, oraz organizatorką międzynarodowych kongresów fenomenologicznych.
