Przekazywanie zrozumienia. Komunikowanie w szkolnictwie wyższym
Abstract
Zgodnie z obowiązującym w Polsce prawem szkoły wyższe, obok nauczania i prowadzenia badań naukowych, zobowiązane są do kształtowania postawy obywatelskiej troski o państwo.
According to the Polish regulations, institutions of higher education should focus not only on education and research but should also educate “students in the spirit of responsibility for the Polish State, consolidation of democratic principles and respect for human rights”. Colleges and universities could not educate responsible citizens without being involved in communication process, which is a foundation of all democratic institutions. Moreover—recent theories of economic growth emphasize the importance of innovations and free flow of ideas as the necessary conditions for breakthrough inventions and discoveries. The communication is necessary for the establishment of the regional centers of innovations; colleges and universities play key role in such regional centers of innovations as the fora of free inquiry.
