Call for Papers: HW Vol 23, No 68 (2024): „Towards inclusive education”

2023-12-06

The dynamically changing reality means that today's so-called "inclusive" schools are made up of students with widely varying abilities and needs. Heterogeneous class teams pose a challenge for educators. For the sake of quality education, it is necessary to identify the diverse needs and abilities of students and seek adequate forms of support for them. It is worth undertaking scientific reflection within the following problem areas:

  • The process of identifying special/differentiated/individual needs and abilities of students (including, e.g.: screening, functional diagnosis, (in)availability of diagnostic tools and procedures);
  • Heterogeneous classroom teams as a challenge for teachers (including e.g.: issues of students with behavioral disorders, with difficulties in emotional/social functioning and/or mental crises, and with communication disorders);
  • Model solutions for systemic support of students in inclusive education (including: solutions present in various countries);
  • Practical measures for high-quality inclusive education - methods, forms and strategies of the teaching-learning process that optimize the development and education process (including, for example: building the competence of teachers of inclusive education).

We invite scientific discourse and presentation of the results of current research in the outlined thematic area of in the pages of the journal "Horizons of Education". Authors, representing various scientific fields, please submit texts through the OJS system in English and/or Polish.
