Call for Papers: HW Vol 23, No 66 (2024): „School and family - collaboration, partnership, engagement”

2023-08-24

School-family cooperation is, on the one hand, a need and a necessity, on the other hand, also a challenge. This phenomenon has its formal and legal determinants. It is based on the parents' rights and duties to raise their child and on the principle of subsidiarity of other individuals and institutions, above all the school. The aim of school-family cooperation is to involve the various school actors in a multilateral interaction in order to dynamise and support the integral development of the child at every phase of life. Today we are participating in a world of dynamic and often unpredictable change, hence questions arise about the realisation of family-school collaboration here and now in new post-pandemic and war contexts. These questions are: where is the strength and value of family-school collaboration today? what are the trends, needs and expectations of all school actors on collaboration? how to build collaboration together with the child and for the well-being of the child? We invite you to undertake academic reflection and to share the results of your research in the thematic field of " School and family - collaboration, partnership, engagement" in the "Horizons of Education"
